ANKH Place CIC are pleased to let you know about the launch of a special session taking place this Wednesday 4th of June, as part of the Black Men's leadership & Engagement Programme!

Drumming for Recovery & Wellbeing is a new workshop for black men living, stuying or working in Newham between the ages of 17-30 and is being led by Steve Henfrey MA MBACP.

Sessions will commence at 2:30pm on Wednesday 4th June 2025 at Forest Gate Youth Zone and will then continue, every Wednesday for 5 consecutive weeks to follow.

This unique event uses music as a powerful tool to promote well-being, self-discovery and mutual understanding. The session will offer a safe and inclusive space where men, living, working or studying in Newham, aged 17-30, can come together to develop new and exciting skills, build resilience, and support personal growth, all through the uplifting experience of group drumming.

Launch Date: Wednesday, 4th June
Session Time: 2:30pm – 3:30pm
