Beautiful Disabled Female Models hit the Runway at New York Fashion Week!

We are back showcasing yet another batch of wonder women! Not a week after the FIRST woman with downs syndrome, Jamie Brewer, hit the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, we found history being made again by more models with disabilities at an AW15 show supporting diversity at New York Fashion Week!

What a monumental day it was for many again this week, when absolutely stunning female models, some in wheelchairs, some on crutches and very hot male amputee Jack Eyers, a British Personal Trainer who had his leg amputated aged 16 - plus models from across the world - hit the runway at New York Fashion Week!

The show in the spotlight was FTL Moda's AW15 Show which had a "Made in Italy" theme and showcased the designs of various international designers. The show, called "FTL Moda Loving You" was held in collaboration with an Italian foundation called Fondazione Vertical, supporting research to find a cure for spinal cord injuries. We have found this movement to be extremely inspiring and it just goes to show that perseverance, and sticking to your dreams and goals really will bring results!

It is a shame, some have been saying, that it has taken so long for something like this to finally happen - we do agree completely - but looking forwards instead of backwards, we are glad to see that this HAS happened and can certainly pave the way forward for more of this to happen across the globe in the future after having such a huge platform as New York Fashion Week to start the journey off!

She Inspired Her salute all involved, especially two super women in particular that we'd like to mention whom are Ilaria Niccolini - the shows producer and also London based Angel Sinclair of Models of Diversity, an agency based in London which campaigns for greater diversity for models within the media and the world of fashion for models of colour, larger models, models with disabilities, older models and more!

On closing, we do hope that you, our readers, are just as inspired as we are by these women and their efforts to make a difference. It just goes to show once again that opportunities out there are endless and there is absolutely no limit to the potential that is within us all.
