REVIEW: WIN WIN WORKING UN-CONFERENCE - WOMEN'S BUSINESS CENTRE - 2011

Hi Inspirations!

I recently attended the 'Win Win Working Un-Conference' event, for women
in business, at the Women's Business Centre (WBC) in East Ham,
which is where my very own businesses', including my most well-known company
'Celebrity Creations Management' are also based.
The event was organised by the amazing team at WBC, fronted by two
amazing women; Janice Beckles and Corinne McGee  for both members
and non-members of the Women's Business Centre.
I found this event to be very inspiring,  as a female entrepreneur and
business owner myself, as the event attendees were predominantly
women in business, some still in the start-up stages, some half way
there and others already with their own
established businesses
'

From female accountants to dress makers, and female solicitors to Reiki
masters - it was great to see everyone networking across the different
areas of business that they were involved, and to be discovering how
they could combine their services and work collaboratively together, as
well as considering using each others services in the future.

We were all delighted to be able to also see the
newest designs of luxury dress designer Shi, of Shi
Dolor, which were on display, surrounding our
networking for the day. Her designs are truely
magical and so so beautifully put together.
I will surely be wearing a Shi Dolor piece in the
near future for a show or appearance!
And on the subject of fashion, there was even a fashion show with a
twist on the day showcasing some beautiful
corsets, modelled by the WBC workers themselves! A great treat for
everyone! The workers themselves seemed to be having a ball too!

The energy in the room was quite amazing, especially after the
unforgettable relaxation and meditation sessions, held as a treat for us
all on the day, for all attendees that wished to partake!
The relaxation/meditation sessions were kindly held by Mavis
Wenham of ANKH Place and world renowned energy healer Ma
Anand Deva.In two seperate sessions, the groups sat together and
released any negative or intrusive thoughts, feelings or tension that
they may have been carrying around with them or holding onto, and
immediately replaced them with positive energy, relaxed thoughts
and feelings of wellbeing.
The opportunity to relax, unwind and release was appealing to say
the least and visably beneficial to all involved!! I, for one was floating
around the room with smiles at the end of my session! It was great!

You will find both of these wonderful women's details at the bottom
of this blog post, they are both well worth checking out!

I too was booked to hold a short session where, as a female business
owner, who has my own established companies,
I sat with the new, non-members of WBC, and gave them some advice on my
journey as a female business owner, and how WBC, their business
coaches, office space and services have been beneficial to me
during this journey.  The MAIN benefit that I pointed out during my
talk with the group, is the benefits of having a business counsellor
appointed to us when we join WBC's "Innovate Her" programme.

I have regular meetings set up with my appointed Business Counsellor
Corinne McGee' and her services, and those of the other business
counsellors at WBC are priceless (free to all Innovate Her members).

Corinne, as my business Counsellor, has continuously helped me to
set fresh targets and goals for my companies, and has really helped me
figure out how I was going to reach them each timeI personally feel
that I have hit many of my targets as a result of these sessions
It helps ro always have another interested 'ear' to listen to my ideas
and to advise me when I need it. I feel that as business owners we may
often end up talking to ourselves too much!
So its refreshing to have another person in your corner, someone
that you can air your concerns and ideas to, and who can help you to
find the solutions for these, within yourself, with a little, gentle
questioning, the answer is always there by the end of the session!

To close the event we had a beautiful dinner in the evening with some
wine and delicious desert! Very nice!
I was introduced to do my surprise performance of a few numbers,
as a treat to all who attended, members joined in and sang along and
it was really a nice end to a great event!

So thank you to the Women's Business Centre for all you have done
thus far, to your team and workers and to everyone at the event for
making it what it was - INSPIRING!
The next event I'm sure will be just as great and I hope I will be able
to extend an invite to you all via the She Inspired Her blog!

Thank you for reading :)
