Newham Council is inviting Community Voluntary Sector and Faith Led organisations to deliver two new exciting programmes that will help to improve youth safety in Newham .

Community Connectors: A network of ‘champions’ who will be trained in leading conversations relating to youth violence within their specific communities that will raise awareness; encourage people (young and old) to discuss their issues and concerns; signpost to appropriate services; and work in partnership with the council inform future strategies to improve youth safety.
Mentoring for Success: A new mentoring programme for young people who are at risk of criminal exploitation across 4 distinct target groups, designed to provide young people with a ‘trusted adult’ in their lives, protect them against criminal exploitation and to help Newham better understand what a successful local mentoring programme looks like.
