The MOBO Awards are BACK #MOBOAwards

We write this post with sheer joy and anticipation because the MOBO Awards is heading back to our screens and we couldn't be happier to hear it!

After a 2 year break, we've all missed the presence of this inspirational show, a stage which can definitely be described as a platform of aspiration for many UK's and global artists wishing to be recognised for their achievements in music, where other award shows have neglected to notice or reward their journies.

Founded in 1996 by Kanya King, The MOBO Awards (MOBO standing for 'Music of Black Origin') honour, award and celebrate the achievements of both upcoming and established musicians in the UK music industry, and globally, including categories such as hip-hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, reggae, jazz, gospel and African music.

For many years the Mobo Awards has seen fans young and old dancing around in their living rooms and flocking down to various UK arena's each year, to see their favourites artists past and present, perform and be honoured for their contributions to music of black origin.

A lineup not to be missed, expect to see American R&B artist H.E.R and globally-renowned Afrobeats star Davido in the incredible lineup of talent onstage in Decemebr 2020, alongside Headie One feat. M Honcho, Ms Banks, Tiwa Savage and Kojey Radical.

This 90 minute music awards ceremony will be broadcast on Wednesday 9th December 2020 live at 7pm on Youtube and later broadcast on BBC1 at 10:45pm hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz

Past performers include Cardi B, Stormzy, Davido, Popcaan, Craig David, John Legend, Estelle and Mary J Blige.
