Are you a young black male interested in taking part in the Newham Black Men's Leadership & Engagement Programme?

If you are aged 18-30 and you either live, work or study in Newham you can attend the next session and receive a participation voucher!

Saturday 16th December 2023

4pm - 7:30pm at The Mix, 1a Cumberland Road, E13 8LH

What will happen at the next session:

The session will be broken into 4 sections as outlined below

A MUSIC SESSION PRESENTATION THAT INSPIRES AND EMPOWERS SELF-EXPRESSION THROUGH YOUR OWN PERSONAL CHOICE OF MUSIC

Each participant will bring along a piece of music. We suggest that you choose music that does not contain swearing and/or profanity.

Each person will introduce their chosen piece of music and talk briefly about how that music has or continues to inspire, motivate and empower you. You will be allocated a time-frame for this activity. You can choose to just play the piece to the group, sing to it, dance to it or showcase it however you choose to, and share your thoughts as you wish. There are no questions about the choice of music, just everyone listening and appreciating each other's choices.

MANAGING MONEY

Led by Frederick Limbaya of Money A&E, Fred will use his own lived experience to support you to examine aspects of financial intelligence; good financial housekeeping; case study and ideas for increasing finances.

PHYSICAL FITNESS SESSION

Led by participant Javed Ahmed, Photographer and Fitness Instructor, you will experience a fitness session focused on 'fat burn'
