The Power of Women Awards 2017 HIGHLIGHTS by She Inspired Her! #DressForSuccess #BeBoldForChange

Wednesday 8th March 2017 saw the return of the Power of Women Awards by Dress For Success. As I entered the CBI building on Cannon Street and proceeded up to the 4th floor in the superb glass lifts, wearing my can’t go wrong little black dress, I could just FEEL that I was in for a treat when I go to the top!

Greeted with smiles from a bunch of beauties taking my name and my coat I was happy with the reception and immediately felt comfortable. I then turned into the event to see a room filled to the absolute brim with beautiful women of all shapes, sizes and colours, what a sight, I was immediately inspired to get in there and be a part of the positive energy buzz although I have to admit I was also just a little nervous about attending alone and entering this room with an absolute ocean of faces that I didn't yet know!

Luckily, I found my feet and walked straight in anyway and that daunting feeling of "I don't know anyone and I'm alone" immediate melted away once my eyes adjusted to the room and the familiar faces started to come to light. Familiarity is always a comfort to us all.

The first person I spotted was Lucy Choi, owner of the fabulous shoe line Lucy Choi London. I had done some press at a previous event of hers and had featured her on the She Inspired Her blog before via 2Inspire Network – she looked flawless and of course her feet were sparkling happily in a red pair of Lucy Choi’s! I then spotted Magic Radio and Magic Soul Presenter Angie Greaves looking equally fab and standing out in her gorgeous deep green ensemble, there to host and moderate the evenings panel discussion. I also later found Miss Jade Bennett from Jade PR whom had invited me to the prestigious event and she too was a fabulous woman and a credit to herself and her business. I settled in nicely and as the night rolled on I was in a bubble of happy networking bliss as I bumped into old friends and associates and made new ones. It really was a room filled with the best of women in life and women in business alike and was hands down one of the best events for networking that I have been to in a long time!

The night rolled on and after the endless champagne, cocktails canopes and networking, the award ceremony commenced, hosted by Juanita Ingram, Founder and Chair of Dress For Success.
