Greater London (DFS) explained: “We are really excited to be hosting our first annual Power of Women
Awards on International Women’s Day, whereby we recognise key individuals
involved in empowering and inspiring all women to succeed. Dress For Success
Greater London welcomes supporters, advocators, politicians, celebrities,
executive, charity experts and fundraisers, to join us on this celebratory
evening.”
At this event DFS will honour and recognise 20 key
international women and organisations involved in empowering and inspiring
women to succeed. We are also having a dynamic panel discussion immediately
after the award distribution.
The theme for International Women's Day this year is
#beboldforchange and the panel will discuss the future of women's empowerment,
gender equity pay, and overcoming career obstacles.
The Power of Women Award Ceremony is an event
to celebrate the accomplishments of women in a variety of sectors such as
politics, finance, technology, media, radio, television, medicine, education
etc., and to discuss various aspects of empowerment for women.
This year’s event is sponsored by and will take place at
CBI, Cannon Street, London and will include canapés, cocktails, silent auction
items, an awards ceremony and an empowerment panel of inspirational speakers. The emcee for this event is Sky TV Reporter Claudia Liza Armah.
