Chilean film director Pablo Larraín’s acclaimed new biopic “Jackie” starring Natalie Portman details Jackie Kennedy’s life one week thereafter the infamous assassination of her beloved husband – John F. Kennedy.
“Jackie” witnesses JFK’s wife on an airplane flying to Dallas, Texas in the aftermath of the assassination, coupled alongside being shell-shocked as Lyndon B. Johnson takes an emergency oath of office as the President of the United States; Lyndon B. Johnson served as Vice President during the JFK presidency.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was the first-ever Irish-American United States President, the youngest United States President in history and the first Roman Catholic United States President, turned American politics into image-making, whereas Jackie Kennedy continued JFK’s work when very few could.
