Many supermarkets across the UK are recruiting new staff members as a matter of urgency to deal with the sudden surge of customers pouring into supermarkets in all regions.

It has been reported that Tesco alone is searching for 20,000 new members of staff, while Aldi is are said to be on the lookout for around 10,000 workers.

AMAZON - said to be recruiting Warehouse Assistants and Delivery Drivers alongside various other positions in the UK. Salary can range from £9.50 per hour to £19 per hour dependent upon role including increased overtime and night shift rates within this range. MORRISONS - in reports Morrisons announced that they will create 3,500 new jobs to expand their home delivery service during the coronavirus pandemic. Positions include Drivers and Store Pickers, alongside an additional 1,000 staff to work at its Distribution Centres in various roles. Apply: www.Morrisons.jobs

ICELAND - have been overwhelmed with demand for jobs and temporarily halted their recruitment drive but still have jobs available for delivery drivers. In terms of how fast you can get a job at these supermarkets within this period, some took to social media to talk about how quickly they were recruited into supermarkets like Tesco. One such Twitter tweeted: "mate applied for a temporary job @Tesco this morning at 7 a.m, got a call at 12pm to go for an interview at 3 p.m. and has got the job! Anyone who is currently looking for any work, try all the supermarkets as they are desperate for staff to keep the shelves stocked for us"
