Guidance: Covid-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Recommendations

Still unsure of what PPE is required to be worn within your profession?

The Government released a series of tables to represent a summary of PPE recommendations for health and social care workers which we are sharing with you today - feel free to share and circulate this post to assist others.

Table 1 - click to view

summarises PPE recommendations for health and social care workers by context for both NHS and independent sectors in secondary care inpatient clinical settings.

Table 2 - click to view

summarises recommended PPE for primary, outpatient, community and social care settings.

Table 3 - click to view

summarises recommended PPE for ambulance staff, paramedics and pharmacists.

Table 4 - click to view

summarises recommendations for all settings where COVID-19 transmission is sustained.

It is recognised that provision of healthcare is dynamic and in a single care episode more than one context may be encountered, PPE should be changed (upgraded) as appropriate.
