Job Title: Administrator, Centre for Black Theology

Job Description:

The Queen’s Foundation is seeking a motivated and flexible person to work as an Administrator in its very active Centre for Black Theology.  The centre is led by Director, Dr Dulcie Dixon McKenzie, supported by Professor of Black Theology Robert Beckford, Dr Valentina Alexander, and visiting tutors, offering theological education primarily, but not exclusively, for participants of Black Majority Churches.  The Queen’s Foundation offers educational programmes which are validated by three different universities and is an Approved Provider registered with the Office for Students.  It is currently the ‘go-to-place’ for the provision of theological training that engages Black Theology for social engagement and transformation,  For more information about the Queen’s Foundation, click here. 

The Administrator role will include: 
Administering organised events
Administering the recruitment and admissions processes
Administering student enquiries and records

 
Hours of work:  18.75 hours per week (0.5FTE)
 
Work Pattern:  Days worked are to a certain extent flexible.  There will be regular commitments on a Tuesday afternoon, a monthly Thursday afternoon and evening commitment for the Black Theology Forum, and Friday afternoons and Saturdays as required.  Evening and weekend commitments are known in advance and will include open days, induction, and other events, and it will be essential to attend. Time off in lieu (TOIL) is available.
 
Salary: £18,135 - £20,000 pro rata, £9.30 - £10.76 per hour.
 
Holiday: pro rata entitlement to 25 days + 8 bank holidays, other benefits include free lunches during term time if campus is open.
 
Pension scheme: Generous pension scheme
 
Due to our busy year this role is NOT suitable for someone seeking (school) term time only work.
